7 Creative Sticker Uses for Parents and Kids

We get it, it’s challenging to keep toddlers and young kids in check since they are easily bored and distracted. Parenting is a full-time job, and if you are running a small business at the same time, dividing your attention between the two (or more if you have more kids!) can be quite the challenge.
Luckily, you can use stickers to keep them busy and entertained. With their versatility, you can use them for anything, and you can easily stick them anywhere. Here are different sticker uses you need to try out with your children:
As food labels to entice picky eaters
The dining table can instantly transform into a war zone when the kids aren’t in the mood for casserole. One way to make dinner time more enjoyable is by putting on stickers of your child’s favorite animals or cartoon characters on vegetables, pantry containers, and other dry ingredients. Let them help while you’re preparing the food so they can associate meals with fun and play instead of treating it as a daunting task.
For creating collage art
Here’s an activity idea that will surely keep your kids occupied for an hour or two: grab a sheet of paper and several sticker sets. Come up with a scenario – maybe a day in school, an afternoon in the rainforest, a weekend with the family – and ask them to recreate it with stickers! You can use their masterpiece as fridge décor, too. Win-win!
For customizing school supplies and personal belongings
Is your child constantly getting invited to play dates, group study sessions, or sleepovers? Make sure they don’t accidentally swap belongings with friends or classmates by personalizing their items! It doesn’t always have to be a label with their name and contact number. Try out different shapes with their favorite colors, smiley faces, or short motivational phrases!
As reward for good deeds
The most effective way to get your kid to finish homework, make their bed, or even run errands is to give them something in return. If you’re looking for a low-cost prize that you wouldn’t regret giving away multiple times a day, look no further than stickers!
As a household chore tracker
Are your kids fighting over whose turn it is to load the dishwasher or put away the laundry? Grab a large sheet of paper and list down the usual household chores on one side and the days of the week in a single row at the top. Let your kids choose a sticker design to represent them and let them stick it on the tracker once they’re done with their assigned chore for the day or the week!
As party giveaways and loot bag fillers
Is your child’s birthday coming up soon? Make it more memorable by stuffing the loot bags with stickers of the attendees’ favorite cartoon characters. Even better: fill a box with a pile of die-cut stickers, add a toy shovel, and tell the kids that they all get one scoop each!
As nametags for party attendees
Let the kids’ creativity shine by turning this into an icebreaker: give each attendee a plain paper sticker (or at least with enough space for their own artwork) and leave a set of markers on every table. You can even assign a theme for each table so the kids can brainstorm designs with one another! After 10-15 minutes, allow them to introduce themselves and explain their artwork briefly. Not only would the shy ones have the opportunity to come out of their shell, this activity is also a clever way to let them make new friends!
