Digital Printing: Labels
Digital printing is the clear choice for those ordering less than 10,000 labels, with multiple designs, or those wanting to reduce inventory costs. The traditional printing industry is often associated with huge shops and equipment reminiscent of the industrial revolution. People often think of large scale printing presses, giant rolls of paper, and delicate mechanical adjustments. However, in the last decade the influence of the digital revolution has begun to reach the printing industry. Technology has created equipment capable of generating a product comparable to traditional methods with several important advantages:
Cost
Our prices are well below the competition. We don’t have to fill up a giant shop with bulky equipment, create new printing plates for each job, or spend hours setting up our machinery for each run. By leveraging technology, we are able to streamline our process and shed these unnecessary costs. Additionally, you can place ten orders for 100 labels, and we will treat them as one 1,000 piece order.
Speed
Our lead time is very short. Once your artwork is approved, we are essentially ready to create your product. For most jobs, it takes no more than a few days to print, process, and ship the finished product. Almost all of our orders ship within seven days from the date artwork is approved.
Easy to Modify Designs
We accept orders from 100 to 10,000. This means that you can limit your order to what you currently need. If you decide to change your design or text at a later date, you can do so without having committed to 20,000 units at once.
Custom Shapes
One less obvious advantage of digital printing is that it allows us to cut your labels into any shape you can imagine, without having to charge you for a die or setup fee. Our library holds a large number of stock options, but for those who want to get creative with the shape of their packaging, the sky is the limit.
Quality
While digital printing is often characterized as inferior to traditional methods, the truth is that very few customers can actually notice a difference. If you’re curious about the quality of our finished product, request a sample by clicking on this link.
Low Minimum Orders
Since we don’t have to invest nearly as much time, energy, or expense on the initial setup of a job, we can fill orders for as few as 100 pieces.
How We Print
Our printing technology uses a four-color process. This means colors are broken down into cyan, magenta, yellow, and black components. By mixing these colors in the right ratios, it is possible to create just about any color you may need. While we can’t specifically match PMS spot-colors, we can come very close. If you’re hesitant about matching your colors, you can always ask for a hardcopy proof.
Materials
We offer labels printed on: white matte paper, white high gloss paper, white vinyl, and white matte vinyl. All of our labels are laminated for free with either a gloss or matte laminate. Learn more about our materials here.
